Overview

Sakan Studio (“we”, “us”) operates the My Compound platform — compound operations software for gated communities — and this marketing website at sakan-studio.com.

This notice describes how we handle personal data when you visit this website, submit a demo or contact request, use the Chatbase chat widget, or use My Compound mobile apps and the admin builder.

Data we collect

What we collect depends on how you interact with us:

• Marketing contact form: name, compound or company name, phone number, unit-count range, message, and an optional demo configuration (branding and module choices from the live builder).
• Language preference on this website, stored in your browser as sakan_locale in localStorage.
• Chat conversations when you use the Chatbase embed on this site (processed by Chatbase as a third-party provider).
• My Compound platform accounts and operational data: profile details (such as name, phone, role, compound and unit association), compound-scoped records for enabled modules (for example visitors, service requests, amenity bookings, payments, directory entries, community content, and feedback), audit log entries, Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens for push notifications, and images you upload through the apps or admin tools.

When a compound enables online bill payment, card and wallet checkout is processed by Paymob in Egypt. We do not store full card numbers.

We do not ask for more information on the marketing form than needed to respond to your inquiry. Specific fields and retention for platform data may depend on your compound’s agreement with us — ask during onboarding if you need detail.

How we use data

• Respond to demo and contact requests and follow up on onboarding.
• Provide, operate, and support the My Compound platform for your compound.
• Send in-app and push notifications you or your administrators configure (for example payment reminders, service updates, announcements, and visitor alerts).
• Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
• Meet legal obligations when required.

The current marketing-site implementation has no advertising or data-sale flow. Any future change to that practice would require an update to this notice.

Tenant isolation and sharing

Each compound’s data is scoped by compound_id in the database and API so one tenant cannot access another’s records. User roles (resident, admin, worker, security, and platform super_admin) control what each account can see and do.

We share data with service providers that help us run the website and platform (for example hosting, email, push notification delivery, and the Chatbase chat widget). We require them to handle data only as needed to provide those services.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law. Exact retention periods for your compound may be set out in your commercial agreement; if you do not have one yet, contact us before relying on a specific timeline.

Your choices

You can clear the sakan_locale value in your browser to reset language preference on this site, or adjust cookie and storage settings in your browser (see our Cookie policy).

Residents, workers, and security staff can delete their My Compound app accounts in the app (Settings → Delete Account). Compound administrators and platform super_admins cannot self-delete in the app; see Account deletion for options.
